Platinum Bantam Player Available
Please the "article" section for information on a Sudden Death player that will be at Narch and is available. Thanks for your time, Wayne Belling

Okay, here goes...

The Narch list is coming out soon and I'm sure many will quickly recognize that Sudden Death is not listed.

For many reasons, the players and families just aren't going to be able to bring the team to San Jose. Some have opportunities in ice that make it impossible, etc. There aren't arguments or divisions or anything like that, it just isn't going to work out.

Their style of play and the class they showed as they carried themselves around the rink is such that we rarely ever get to witness.

To my knowledge, my son Tyler is the only member of the team that will be in San Jose for the Platinum division of Narch. We were under the impression that we would be going and we bought him a $1000.00 airline ticket to get there. There are other complicating issues as to why we needed that ticket such as I have a cousin getting married in Portland the Saturday before Narch and a cousin getting married the Saturday immediately afterwards in Duluth, MN. So the ticket had to get us overnight to Duluth after the Finals. Corbin and I got our tickets from airline mileage we had accumulated.

So, Tyler needs a team. He plays forward. He's solid in every phase of the game. He's very unselfish with the puck and knows how to play puck possession hockey (think Sudden Death for the last two years). He's as fast as anyone out there, specializes in the setup midfloor pass and the "Brett Hull" one timer on the power play. He benches 8 reps of 265 lbs with free weights. He's won "all tourney/allamerican/allstar" for each of the organizations through the years, etc. He very rarely gets penalties, he just plays the game with his feet and body position and effort.

I'm just stating the above paragraph for those that might not know him, many of you know him already. He'd be embarrassed if he knew I talked of him like that. He doesn't brag at all, we have to pull piles of medals and award jerseys out of his bag after the year, because he doesn't flaunt it.

We don't play the game of demanding sponsorship or freebies. We pay our way unless a sponsor gives something for the whole team.

I'm just simply too busy right now with my practice to try to find all the coaches names and phone numbers, etc to contact the platinum teams to see if any have availability. I'm sure that there are several that would be looking for that "edge" to put them deeper into the playoffs if not help them win the title.

What Tyler and I will do is view the team list and put together a "wish list" ranking based on our understanding of a teams playing style, coaching etc.

What I would appreciate is a email response from any of you that would be interested in having Tyler play for you at Narch San Jose in the Bantam division. He could play Midgets too, but we won't be in town until the second pool play day of Midgets so that might not work for many teams.

Please copy/paste this message to your coaches, etc.

Thank you very much,

Wayne Belling

P.S. I won't play games with any of you. I won't try to do any "daddy coaching " from the stands, etc. I'll respond in a timely fashion to your emails and we'll have a decision for you promptly. Thanks again.
