Good luck to Shaun Pugh
| We're wishing you the best and hope to see you at the Finals!
Most of you in the roller hockey community don’t know who Shaun Pugh is, but to his friends and team mates he is an inspiration. Shaun, who was an ice hockey goalie his whole life, made the transition to roller hockey at the age of 18. Since then he has been progressing his love for the sport and evolved into the caliber of player he is today. What most people don’t know about him is that a little over 4 years ago he was diagnosed with a terminal illness and was not given much hope. Since then he has been battling all the odds, going through countless treatments, financial hardships, and going through with his life like any other kid his age would. To look at him or talk to him you would never know that he had a care in the world. He is always smiling and will always be cracking a joke or saying something funny so you have a smile on your face. Unfortunately Shaun has recently had to start up another session of treatments and is battling to be able to come to this year’s final in San Jose, something he has looked forward to since his first year at Narch in Estero last year. We all hope he will be able to attend this year and if he does I hope you watch for him on and off the rink. He truly is a class player and person to be around.
