Oh give me a home, where the Buffalo roam....
Stuck in Atlanta waiting for a flight, Randy Sappo steps up and takes the reigns tonight at the Pepsi Center...

I am still pumped for Buffalo even though I am in Atlanta right now. What a day. It all started with the Mexican meal I enjoyed late last evening. Early this morning, I had sweats, dizziness and other symptoms. After moving my flight back with Delta airlines, I was able to see a southern doctor who gave me pedialyte (for the dehydration) and told me not to eat solid foods. I was diagnosed with food poisoning.

So, with his note, which allowed Delta airlines to book me on a later flight, I went back home and drank pedialyte and plenty of water and laid down. I left for the airport at 3:30pm with a massive headache hoping to arrive in time for the first game of the evening.

No such luck. I am flying Delta. I still have nightmares about Delta from NARCh 2005 where myself, Nick Moran and Torrey DiRoberto were all caught in Atlanta for two days before we could go home. Well myself and the Raleigh passengers missed our connection to Buffalo because our flight was delayed. Then the next flight was full. So, here I am in 100 degree Atlanta sipping water, sweating like a marathoner and drinking pedialyte while waiting for a 6:00am flight to JFK which then goes to Buffalo. Delta has a rule that they don't bump customers off existing flights because you miss your connection. The good news I did get a travel certificate to use for my inconvenience.

Randy Sappo, has been humored with the situation and I thank him for the support and encouragement to feel better. Promise this, blogs will be on and photo's early in the morning as soon as I arrive to Buffalo, home of the Wings and the magnificent Pepsi Center.

Looking forward to great hockey, working with Randy, who is always a pleasure to be with and of course giving you periodical updates on the World's greatest Roller Hockey. It's upstate New York at it's finest for the next two and a half days.

Stay tuned! it's more water for me, an airport bench to sleep on (wait Delta just got me a room at hotel!)and NARCh the world's greatest roller hockey from Atlanta/JFK/Buffalo!

The life of a tournament director!!!
