WE'REEEEE BACK!!!!!!
NARCh returns to the home of Winternationals, the Big apple!
|
4 months have past since we were here and one major difference is the temperature. February had some cold temperatures and freezing rain. June brings an unusual early season heat wave. Over the past week we have seen the mercury soar past 100 degrees. It's cooler now and the teams are ready to play!
The day started with a hard fought PeeWee battle between the Tour Roadrunners and the Mission Snipers. The game went back and forth and eventually ended in a tie. The level of excitement here is high, with a lot of Roadrunner teams going to Finals this is a good tune up for San Jose.
There are all the familiar faces here: Tim McManus, VIO, Denis Jelsic will be here later on. The Z Rink Selects made their way down from Connecticut. VIO has 10 Roadrunner teams playing this weekend. He is a great guy who puts a ton of effort into organizing his teams and making sure his paperwork is in on time. If you happen to talk to VIO ask him about his grandfather and his baseball playing days, it's a story you'll want to hear.
As a first time blogger I apologize if this is bland, but I am a work in progress.
Thanks for checking in and look for more photos, scores, and maybe some blogs as the weekend here unfolds.
