Cardinals baseball, Blues playoff hockey, hail, and tornados can’t slow the momentum of this tourney down at all.
The Blast 2001 went untouched through the Mite division and will play the younger 2002 team in the Gold final tomorrow. The Momentum will play the ducks for the Silver final, and while the Ducks beat the Momentum eight to five in the round robin play, it was a much closer game than the board tells. I have a feeling the Momentum will show ready to play in the morning.
In the Squirt division the St. Louis Dawgs will take on the Inferno from Nashville tomorrow morning. The winner will move to the Gold final where the Tour Blast will be waiting. The Blast went undefeated, but by no means sailed through this division. They only beat the Inferno and the Dawgs by one goal. I have a feeling the first game tomorrow is going to be intense and the final should be just as exciting.
The Pee Wee division is just as close. There is still one game to be played and we could possibly have a tie for first or a three way tie for second. Coast 2 Coast will be taking on the Wildcats from Nashville, and if they end up with the win they will have six points and be tied for first with Coast 2 Coast Momentum. If the Wildcats can steal a win then there will be a tie for second and third place and will ultimately come down to goals against.
The Bantam teams have a few more games left, as do the Midgets. Both divisions are pretty well balanced and it’s unclear who will emerge as the top teams tomorrow.
There will be some great hockey played Sunday and I can’t wait to see what happens.
