Saturday Morning at the Silver Creek Sportsplex
Morning games here are underway here at the Silver Creek Sportsplex in San Jose with Squirts and Bantams leading the charge. Games are nonstop throughout the day and as more and more teams check in the rink is filling up quickly.
With right around 40 teams playing this weekend and tight competition in each division we’re expecting some pretty close games. However, in their first round-robin match up of the tournament the Revision Mustang 2000s took down the San Jose Inline Sharks 9-1 with #5, Alex Muchynski, finding the back of the net four times and helping out his teammates with two assists. Continuing through the squirt division in a controlling fashion very similar to their clubs older team, the Revision Mustangs 2001 also won their first game by a score of 5-0.
The Revision Mustangs have had a good start to the tournament all around with their bantam team taking down the San Jose Inline Sharks 7-3 to kick-start their Saturday at the Sportsplex.
At each regional event throughout the season, anticipation and excitement for NARCh finals in Mississauga this summer continues to build. The weekend is only a few hours in and there’s already chatter from both players and parents about the always fun, always exciting summer event at the Hershey Centre.
Be sure to check back in on blogs throughout the weekend for updates on all the action from both the San Jose and Apex qualifiers!
