  • By Alex Morrison It is Sunday Morning on Long Island (pronounced lawn-geye-land), and we have started things off with a bang.  Everyone is playing their last round robin game, with drama already unfolding. In Midget, we just finished up the round robin, and our final seed into the Gold Final will have to be determined by a shootout.  The Tour Roadrunners and Long Island 495ers tied in their matchup, and their goals against and for are exactly the same.  Exciting stuff!   • By Jeremy Ellis Here we are approaching the halfway point of this 2012 Buffalo regional and we have yet to have a tie!  Each and every team has been going for it.  Seeding has been so tight so far that each team knows that it is a win or bust mentality. We have finished the round robin in the Pee Wee division and the seeds have been calculated.  With a lean towards parity, 4 teams were in the running for the second seed, all having accumulated 4 points.  It came down to the next tie brea

  • Sat AM Update from Escondido It feels good to be here at the Escondido Sports Center located a North County San Diego.  This is my home rink and the closest to my home, which is about a half hour with no traffic.  That’s Southern California for you, but well worth the trade off to live in such a beautiful place.   • by Alex Morrison NARCh has made a return to Rapid Fire Arena, a rink that has hosted numerous regional qualifiers over the past decade and a half, with some of the world's best roller hockey talent housed here.  It has been over 7 years since our last stop here, as we had been a bit closer to the city (New York, that is), when we were in Bethpage. We are off and running at the 2012 Buffalo regional with action in 4 divisions.  Squirts, Pee Wees, Bantams, and a combined Jr. / Mens division welcomed 25 teams to this week’s NARCh Regional qualifier.  Tonight saw 8 games on the schedule with every division but Squirt facing off.
